ShipLogs (https://shiplo.gs) is operated by HakkApps, LLC. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. What We Do

ShipLogs is a SaaS platform that automatically generates changelogs from your GitHub repositories using AI. You connect your GitHub account, select repositories, and we analyze commits and pull requests to create human-readable changelog entries.

2. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you sign up, we collect your email address and name. If you use Google Sign-In, we also receive your profile picture.

GitHub Data: When you connect your GitHub account, we access your username, repository metadata, commit messages, and pull request information for the repositories you explicitly connect. We do not access your source code.

Payment Data: Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store your credit card information. We only receive confirmation of payment status and subscription details.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the service, including projects created, changelogs generated, and API usage.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the changelog generation service
• To analyze your commits and pull requests using AI (OpenAI) and generate changelog entries
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send important service updates and notifications via email
• To improve our service

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal data. We share data only with:

• Dodo Payments — to process payments
• OpenAI — to generate changelog descriptions (commit messages and PR titles are sent for analysis; your data is not used to train AI models per OpenAI's API data usage policy)
• Resend — to send email notifications
• GitHub — to access repository data you have authorized
• When required by law

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the European Union. We may use additional server locations to provide faster and more reliable service. When data is transferred outside the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

We use HTTPS encryption for all connections. GitHub access tokens are encrypted at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your changelogs and project data are retained while your account is active.

If you delete a project: All associated data (changelogs, settings, webhooks) is deleted immediately.

If you delete your account: All your data is deleted immediately — projects, changelogs, GitHub connections, settings, everything. This action is irreversible.

7. Your Rights

You can delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings. Account deletion will automatically cancel any active subscription and immediately remove all your data.

You can request access to, correction of, or export of your personal data by contacting us.

8. Updates

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email.
